Thank you in advance for considering a donation to Kids Kountry Early Education Center. Without the help of our communities and friends we cannot accomplish all that we need to make a healthy, safe and fun educational experience for our children.

Current needs:

Flooring:

Most of our classrooms are covered with carpet already installed prior to conversion to a child care center and we need to replace the floor coverings in our classrooms with a child friendly surface. We have found that the carpet increases the chance of allergic reactions. Small children are at particular risk from allergens in carpets because they are in closer contact with the floor, where pollutants settle, plus their small bodies are more susceptible to pollutants than adults because their systems are immature; and they have smaller airways which means the amount of air borne pollutants they receive is more concentrated than adults.

Childhood allergies is increasing yearly. Many experts believe environmental factors are a main contributor to asthma and allergies. Allergic asthma, the most common type, affects one in six people with asthma in the U.S. Allergic asthma is triggered by allergens like dust, pet dander, or cockroaches. Carpets that are used daily in a child care environment are a source of dust and pet dander brought in by the students.

Outdoor toys:

Our "kids" enjoy time outside every day regardless of the weather unless it gets too cold or too hot. We are in need of additional climbers and other activities in both the pre-school playground and toddler playground. Exercise is an important part of our curriculum and is important for the health of our students. Who wouldn't like to be a pirate on a ship, or a mountain climber who reaches the top?

General:

We also accept general donations that will be used for classroom items, such as painting, crafting, reading, building, etc.
